How to Manage Alerts (shut off)
new to the game and have a few worker buildings near a path the guests used, and at the moment do not want to rearrange my zoo.

Problem is am getting the same alert every 5 seconds saying these three buildings are causing negative impact. I delete the alert and it just comes right back in seconds.

Is there a way to disable alerts?

Or better yet, select which ones you get?

I would like to keep getting alerts, so would like to deselect just this one for the moment.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's only in Sandbox mode where you can turn off different alerts. If you delete an alert it will come back if that alert isn't resolved some how.

Best way is to decorate the buildings with attached scenery (contained in the building group) to reduce the affect area. At 100% scenery the sphere if influence is reduced by 50% so most square shaped buildings can go close to a path. The transformer and water facilities will still need to be three meters from the path at 100% scenery.

HeatherG, thanks, I will see if I can fix the issue.

Grampers62, thanks. glad that there is a way to pretty up the buildings, looked for it but could not find it, I will add some per your suggestions on the location of the add ons.

Going forward, gonna do what i can to keep the buildings away from the guests pathways, right now all are using the same paths. Looks like for now, perhaps make an area a handful of meters from the path and reduce the red circle per Grampers62 suggestions.

Right now have the buildings right on a path and kind of boxed in with other habitats and paths so cannot move them yet.

Thanks again guys!!!!

If you double click on the facilities you can place building walls and such on the same grid as those buildings. That also counts toward scenery for them.

If you search for me in the workshop you can find several facility buildings with scenery that covers the negative area to give you an idea how to make them work. especially the transformers.

The alerts will keep popping up, and they are useful and should not be turned off. They tell you of so many things you need to know. You seem to be using the bare buildings, but there are many that already have shells around them. You may have to Research them though with an engineer. But to be honest, distance works. Just keep things away from the guests! Things like generators and water filters can even be placed under habitats in tunnels. Just make sure staff can get to them. A shame they cannot be place inside habitats with staff paths to them. One thing that puzzles me is the Educators doing a tour who take guests down staff paths, often past buildings the guests hate! That guests hate staff buildings makes no real sense. Real zoos are full of staff buildings. Zoos cannot work without them.

Be sure to check out those builds in sandbox so there is no issue with research.

Thanks, yes glad the alerts in the game as there is so much to manage. And thanks to all of you was able to correct the alerts on the worker places. I am in the process of researching buildings.

As I expand my zoo, I am going in incorporate staff paths which i assume can not be used by the guests, and thus keep them away from the negative buildings.

As for the educator, perhaps as the educator is a staff member lets her go down the staff path and the guests are linked to her. Perhaps the game can code the educators to not go down staff paths when guests are following them (as they would still need i guess to go down the path to get to staff buildings for their own use).
