Help! I cannot get the zoo tours to work! Doing everything required and no educator will get assigned to the tour.

Hi. I have all the tour points in a work zone. All the tour points laid out through the zoo and with an animal assigned or an intermission point. I have one educator with the only job task to conduct tours, and he is assigned to the tour work zone, and he never does a tour. What is going on? I've tried this a million times and I cannot get it to work. Where is the in game tutorial? I can't find anything on this (only watched youtube tutorials).

If I may suggest, start with a small tour. Set one guide point to start another at a habitat (be sure to tag it with the habitat species) and finally add an end. Assign a workzone to those points along with an educator. Keep those points close together. The start need not be near an attraction but it's seems better to have it near the entrance. Once that is working you could add more stops. Intermission stops work best if there is food,drink and toilets within 25 meters of the stop. A few benches wouldn't hurt but I haven't seen tour guests use them yet.

I also had trouble to get a tour to work, it seems you can't actually assign an educator to a tour because they only get allocated once they have conducted a tour. You can see if an educator has conducted a tour by opening the tour menu and it will tell you if one has been allocated. Make sure a rest stop is close to a staffroom as the tour guide will also go for a break and you don't want them wandering off too far so also include those in the workzone.

I have not done tours yet but it may be that Frontier did not separate the animal talks. So, by disabling the give animal talks on the employment tab (you said you made task only to give tours), that may be the problem. Try just disabling the random talks and see if that helps.

My tours guides have been abandoning a tour at intermission spots. Its not always the same intermission spots either. And by all my intermission spots I have a small staff facility near by for them to use. I even have work zones set up just for the tour and only those facilities selected for it.

I had the same problem. I solved this by making two separate work zones, one from the start to the intermission point, and the second from the intermission point to the end. I assigned a separate educator to each work zone. The guests still weren't happy but the tour did complete.

I can't get an educator to do the tour. I have guests waiting but Educators just act like it doesnt exist. I even tried hiring a new educator just for the tour, assigned them to the zone and everything and it doesnt work.

I have the same problem is there a solution yet? i have a short route no breake points just one tour and two educators but these carens wont start working. all in one zone with a seperate brakeroom just for them

They always seem to work for me. Sometimes they do take some time to start it off but they do happen. Most of the time I do simple ones with start end and one or two interim points depending on the distance. The first time around I did do intermissions, and that means people go off to take a break, and then come back and continue. But I generally do the simple option to speed things up.

So this discussion was 2 years ago! Was a solution found? I couldn't assign an educator during the set up of the tour. I successfully set up tour points , then made the work zone, then assigned an educator to the zone. The tour manager says the tour is open. How do I get the educator to conduct a tour?

Is the educator off doing other things? Did you go into the employment tab and restrict to only conduct guided tours?

All the educator does is wonder and say he likes his job. Can I re-assign him from inside the tour set-up manager.
