Odd Vertical Lines - GPU?
Hi , I was wondering if anyone can help.

I updated the game and added the new DLC everything looking fine. Started a new franchise and when in game flickering vertical lines have appeared. I have updated my drivers and have messed around with the graphics settings in game (never had an issue previous to update) and its still the same. Anyone had the same issue or can help?

does this happen in other games?

this kinda sounds like GPU artifacts which is not a good sign

Try turning v-sync on. If it is already on then try turning it on in Nvidia Control Panel or AMD equivalent. Might be worth trying to switch between windowed and fullscreen modes also.

somethings you could try.

1.uninstall GPU drivers and install fresh
2.V-sync might help but i dont think its the issue.
3.Reinstall game and or check verify game files
4.Check and make sure your HDMI or display port is ok ( might be worth trying a different cable)
5.check for any updates on win ( probably doesnt matter but worth a shot)

A long time ago, I had this problem in ONLY the Sims 3. It was my GPU dying. = (

I hope that is not your situation. I would follow 123's suggestion of reinstalling everything. If possible, I would get a tool that allows you to monitor your GPU output and temperature. It may just need a good cleaning!

Yeah. Something like HWMonitor from CPUID to monitor temps would be good. This game is very stressful on components and your card may be overheating. A good cleaning and an app like MSI Afterburner that will let you set a custom fan curve could be very helpful.

What did you install? I think mine was a GIGABYTE that died after about a year

Sounds like V-Sync, this should be in the game options.
