All my animals escaping?!?
All my animals escape from their habitats, is that a BUG?!
How can I solve it and has it something to do with last updates?

There were some changes to animal behavior that now lets them leap over things easier. Most cases all one needs to do is slightly raise the barrier. some cases if the ground outside the barrier is slightly higher animals can leap to that. some climbing animals can now leap to climbable objects within one meter of the outside of the barrier. And there is also a random glitch where it seems an animal leaps or something inside the habitat and gets tagged as escaped.

Glad I am not alone in this. My current and best Zoo is suddenly riddled with escaping animals from every kind of habitat regardless of the fence used on the enclosure.......:steamfacepalm: so upsetting. Closed the game without saving and waiting to see if a hot fix is released :steamsad::steamsad:

Ps it was the first time I had opened up the game since the latest update had been applied

If they are escaping for climbing too high (rather than climbing out along the edges), AND if you are using null barriers, you can often fix this by raising the null barriers up really high, way above the height that they can climb to.

For the other problems, the only solution I've found is to move objects even further from the fences.

It's an issue where an animal gets tagged as escaped while in a habitat rather than quick jaunts out and back in. Often they are in an area where no other items are near them. But the jumping out thing is also where one area is the issue but it creates issues all around the barrier. As I study how it works it seems it might be tied to the same issue as staff not being able to go around some scenery items.

I am only getting swimming animals escaping?
all others are staying where they should

It is my entire zoo. I dont use null barriers. I have all sorts of enclosure wall types, i.e. brick, glass, hedge to name but a few. Everything was fine util after the update. Now I have animals escaping all over the zoo from all the enclosures. Never happened on this zoo wide scale before. The Red Cranes, Flamingos are all leaping up onto the glass walls and jumpimg out or just walking thru them for example. It is a huge habitat with a large number of birds and they were all headed towards the walls to escape!!! I shut the zoo WITHOUT saving once I realised the scale of the problem lol. Maybe I should buy the Twilight DLC and see if that fixes the problem lol :cozyovercooked2:

:steamfacepalm: I just read your post........ :steamsad: daaamnnn why did Frontier have to do that to Us lol?

My lovely zoo is going to need a rework if that is the cause......:surprised_yeti: I will have to load and pause immediately.....:steamfacepalm:

Sorry to say it sounds like you have some work to do... Look closely to see where there might be an obvious issue and fix that first, sometimes that will resolve other points that are not really escape points but errors in reading the habitat.

I will need to be in a Planzo mood before I tackle that. Been busy busy busy IRL so too tired too face it, just chill (and fall asleep) playing less demanding games lol. Thanks for the info and advice

And they only escape, with me, when I am out of money... So immediate catch takes a lot of effort.

M'Lud. You should buy the Twilight pack cos it has skunks!
Then see if THEY escape!:Skunk:
Are they escaping from OPs zoo? Or have they not bought skunks? Just curious.

Have you verified your game's files? I have not encountered this issue.
