Have you tried using the terrain stamp tool too clear it? Note that near by path sections may need to be removed first.
Just right click on the path in the 2nd photo and it will go away. It's doesn't look embedded it's just sitting on top. There's also a delete button above your path selections. I can tell that the path IS selected since it's highlight, now it's just waiting for what you want to do with it.
I just hovered the shop to show, that the path in the ground is connecting with the shop.
Can't delete it.
The second photo is the same. I selected a path and moved the mouse to the embedded tile to show, that it wants to connect but I can not delete it.
Also worth asking if OP has ever used mods even if not using them right now, for that particular zoo. Some mods can cause problems which persist even after they have been removed.
Edit: btw, I even opened the zoo in sandbox-mode and tried all sorts of things but nothing worked.
(and it probably will not work). add path even a grid plaza if it lets you attached to that path piece and then see if it goes away when you delete the paths.
I tried that just now and I could select the grid from the path but couldn't delete it.
Thank you all so much for your suggestions btw! It's so weird, that no one else experienced this issue before. I will wait for the freebuild-mod to be updated and hope, that the mod won't cause even more trouble (this will be the first and only mod I will use).
Thanks again for taking your time everyone! :)
The problem is, that I rebuild the zoo and the tiles are in the beginning area, where I planned a big building sunken in the ground (the path is blocked)... but as I said in the beginning: this is a bug that shouldn't be in the game in the first place so I hope that they will fix it in the future. :(
In settings/game, are all the collision options checked/
Adding path sections and deleting failed to work? Try to flatten the area around before deleting maybe.
Very odd....
