Aquatic and maybe extinct animals and hybrids?

Do you guys think that aquatic animals and maybe perhaps extinct animals like Stegodons, Smilodons and Dinosaurs like imagine. I also think maybe the Planet Zoo should add a wider variety of crocodilians like alligators and caimans and maybe birds of prey and other birds. Also maybe adding exhibits for smaller primates or even a choice for smaller primates like Tarsiers and Marmosets and of course I want the Tarsier since I'm a Filipino hehe. Oof I know that this is very off topic if all the discussions in the general discussions because everything in the gen discussions is all about ranting about the problems but hey there should be atleast some light in the dark. OK maybe not Dinos yes but like extinct animals that werent dinos you know? Animals that went extinct recently or in the recent centuries like tasmanian tigers and maybe also hybrid animals like Ligers.

Dinosaurs are not the only animals that are extinct have you ever heard of the Tasmanian tiger? The dodo? Those were not dinosaurs

If u want Dinosaurs then go ahead and play Jurassic World Evolution lol. Frontier made that too. But yeah I'm definitely in for sharks, sword fishes, arapaimas and all. fishes in general.
I was also quite surprised there were no Koalas and Alligators. But lets see what the developers got for us. (after fixing the game's crashes *cough* )

whater creatures like pinguines piranias or other exotic fish and many birds,bats or animals for an petting zoo would make good stuff for an future dlc.

well one thing I can say is that this game takes a lot of inspiration from Zoo Tycoon 1 and 2 and improving on it. Personally I think that aquatic and extinct animals are on the rise to come to the game (maybe as DLC's), but not anytime soon though, because the game has just released. Give the devs some time to adjust to their community's smaller wishes and bug fixes before they need to work on DLC's. (And imo the 'extinction' pack might be closer than we think because of the "Extinct In Wild" level of endangerment (?) that can be seen in the Zoopedia )

I am a huge ZT fan and had given this exact question a lot of thought.

tbh extinct animals would make the game not feel right. Zoo tycoon made it work I think for the simplicity of the game, but was pushing it with ZT2. PZ has a lot more to offer than ZT did in terms of how you build and the details of the animals. Seeing a Dodo next to a Bengal Tiger just wouldn't feel right here. So for dinosaurs, I'd say stick with JWE. If they really wanted to give it the "ZT feel" and make it feel more like a dinosaur zoo rather than a park (like JWE), maybe they could release a separate game with all sorts of extinct animals and not just those found in the Jurassic Park franchise?

Now, aquatic life would be very interesting, but I'm skeptical about it for the same reason as the dinosaurs... depending on what features were added in. Animals like sea lions, otters, and maybe small aquarium exhibits with certain fish species would be okay... Or the ability to add fish to water areas with things like crocs and hippos. But whales, dolphins, and show animals might give it a wrong feel. So, I suggest an entirely separate game release with an aquatic life park rather than an expansion for PZ (calling it Planet Ocean or something).

My hope is that they continue to add more animals in future expansions (which they will, sadly for my wallet). For instance, we could get an endangered animal pack, carnivore pack, big cats pack, primate pack, North America, or a desert pack with more themes and animals. I would really like to have more birds added with maybe an aviary build set. Also, some more uncommon animals added such as a fox, alligators, beavers, penguins, bobcats,...

Ultimately, separate games for what you're saying would be best.

That would be a YES from me for the aviary!! Planet Zoo has already broken boundaries by adding the reptile enclosures (it's something no other "zoo game" has had in the past) and I'm sure they'll break plenty more - like aviaries; especially because it was recently added to JWE.

honestly if extinct animals was done hypothetically i would go with megafauna and mammals stuff like dodos tasmanian tiger mammoths exct because jurassic world evos got dinos covered but i would totally be down for someone modding the game and adding dinos marine animals i honestly see being more likely
