Animal Stress With guests inside thier Habitat.
Some animals allow guests to enter thier habitat like Lemurs. They always get stressed by it though. I have the Keep Quiet signs up inside the habitat but makes no difference. Putting 1 way glass up inside defeats the whole point of allowing guests inside.

Is there something you can do to stop them getting stressed , and lowering thier welfare?

i put down some selfmade fences for my turtle and that helped a lot maybe trying to do something like that where the animal can hide from the guests
also i think this system need a little bit of rework because animals seems a little bit to skitish

They are skittish that's why! Check the zoopedia, it states not only WHAT animals can have guests in, but also the relationship to humans. Shy will need to be hidden from the guests, neutral will need to be ABLE to hide, eg plenty of rocks, shelters etc, and advise putting the path along the edge so the animals do not need to cross the path at all, and confident means no issues.

In my tort habitat, I ran one way glass in between them and the guests but didn't complete it to the other side, just curved it around the path. The torts don't really go over there anyways.

Now no problems. Make sure you pull it up a bit over the guests heads or they will still get stressed.

Aardvarks were a bit more tricky because they are shy. So I used the ground (terrain pull) to make land mounds for them to run and hide behind. They will run out for a second then run back behind shelter.

Thanks for the replies. Its a bit missleading. Allowing guests inside i thought was for people to pet the animals. This isnt the case. It's basicially just a pathway through, no different than the guests being on the outside.

Put some do not disturb signs a long the path in the exhibit your guests are walkign thru so they do not disturb the animals, it helps with stress.

Maybe a stupid question but: How can guests enter a habitat? I can only build one door to each habitat, so how can I build a way thru?

Next to habitat door in the menu is guest door

You'll end up with one habitat door, and two guest doors with a pathway inside connecting them. I also had problems with stress until I used the do not disturb signs. They are also helpful if you have pathways over the habitats.

Wait those signs actually do anything?
