Path Tool is extremely terrible :(
Path system is a nightmare in this game. In Planet Coaster somehow it worked way better, but here trying to place path with some idea is a torture. I am currently playing Myers Entertainment Park scenario, Indian themed. Trying to replace transformator, one at the top of big stairs coming from tapir habitat And it's virtually impossible to replace it so it looks like a original placement. Upon removing transformator path gets drastically deformed and it's not possible to restore it to previous shape while placing solar panel there.
And it's not first time i am extremely tired of trying to do something creative with path tool and it's only frustrating.

The secret is to roughly plan pathing than build buildings first and start from the building grid

Snapping can be disabled or bypassed while pressing ctrl.

Yeah, it is one of those things, once you work out what works and what doesnt it is pretty simple to do some crazy things. Currently doing some underground habitat viewing areas etc.

It is a terrible system. I mean they dont even explain you how to use paths in the tutorial...

I agree. I end up wasting so much time playing with hot keys and settings just to connect simple paths. If I have to watch videos to learn how the place basic paths, it means the system is too complicated.

For simple paths the system is super simple. You got the grid for straight paths and angle snap for consistent curves. For simple stairs you just need a short end and press U. That's all you need for a basic zoo.

Laying paths crashes my game.

pathing is not easy, but good if you learn how it works.
