Stressed Animals
Bunch of my animals keep getting stressed. I have hard shelter for them with ambient speakers, the hard shelter is away from the guests too, out of sight, but they're not hiding. Stupid antelope is just prancing around with 0% welfare while there's hard shelter right next to it with a hiding place. What do I do? I'm researching one way glass right now, and I've put down do not disturb sounds all around the enclosure but it's not helping.

There are some enrichments that also provide privacy. Also try to use enough foliage and rocks because the animals can then hide behind them. Try also to use some solid walls in your habitat fence.

The one-way glass is the best tool for reducing stress in a habitat. Also be certain there is plenty of space for them, more than what is indicated. Those ambient speakers have been confirmed to not help stress at all. When planning one's zoo, shy animals should be placed away from main paths with limited access. Do not disturb signs do help.

Also, build a rock wall or something the guests can not see past and put the food and water
behind the wall. This will lower the animal's stress when they go to eat and drink since they
will not hide on their own apparently. :)

I've also found that raising the height of the barrier walls helps.

I believe having the guests above the habitat helps.

I have this problem with lemurs a lot. I have to make sure their feeding spaces are in private areas or I get welfare drops any time they eat.

Another way to reduce stress with shy animals is to leave at least a meter or more space between the path (where the guest stand) and the fence for the animals. Fill it with low foliage and it seems to help if the guests are at a distance. Along with screening plants, private areas and one-way glass.
