first tutorial stuck

i'm trying to get the tigers into the enclosure but it says invalid destination. i can't build or change anything because the game won't let me.

how do i fix this?

Try unpausing the game if you have it paused; I know I've seen other people have issues in that tutorial because they tried doing things all in a row with the game paused, so it never updated to recognize some of what they had previously done.

If that alone doesn't solve it for you, please here again and I'll fire up the scenerio to see if there's something else that needs to be done at that point which it isn't explicitly telling you.

i have unpaused it. i paused and unpaused. tried reloading the autosave. i tried restarting the game. nothing helps

the tigers and ostriches are all stuck in boxes clipping into each other in front of the animal trade centre. the enclosure is accessible because i can send employees into it.

i have to build a shelter which i did but does not register. and now i can't do anything.

Okay, I'm going to fire up the scenario and go to that point to see if I can see anything funky.

Okay, I ran through it and had no issues.

The only thing I can think of is that there is something not quite right about your habitat, or the gate connection. But the tutorial shouldn't have progressed if that was the case.

If you have a way to share your save file, by like uploading to drop box or onedrive or something, I'm willing to open up and look at your specific save if you want me to. To see if there's anything that can be done.

Otherwise your best bet is just to start it over unless you have a save checkpoint that you made before starting the tiger part of it.

i decided to start over. didn't have an issue this time. something weird must have happened.

@Kharnath, glad you got it sorted. The career scenarios can be kind of finicky, unfortunately, because they are the best way for new players to really learn the game...but dealing with their finicky issues is not a great new-player experience.

I have to say that these tutorials are the worst. They're rushed, barely touch on anything, and required you to do things that it never provides you with the tools to do so. That's absurd. Making animals happy? Go waste your time and "money" trying to figure out what enrichments will works with each animal...because the tutorial never tells you that you can actually pull up the animal info to know what to do immediately. I only found it after poking around on a different issue that another tutorial failed on. "Get rid of the short grass" - but we're not going to give you any info other than that. So I spent 20 minutes on it, got rid of the grass, and still I couldn't get to 100%. Oddly, after going back in a few days later, I immediately got the message that I'd passed, even though I never touched it. Seems like a pretty big bug to me. I've not played for a week or more because same similar situation with the final stage of the 2nd tutorial.....requires us to build habitats but without having given us the appropriate tutorial to do so.

I though this game would be about management on a higher level than the MS Zoo Tycoon that doesn't work with Win 10. I didn't realize that I would have to instead futz around with fences that must be clicked in a specific spot or try to build a path that hasn't even been taught yet. But I know how to place a speaker! Whooptido! Forcing me to go and find something on YouTube or whatever, in order to learn something that these people should have included in the tutorials is just really leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I may never go back to the game, & I certainly will not be buying any packs.

I cannot but agree with you. I got this game from HB, but l can not start to play with it, because I find it overcomplicated with lots of icons around and it does not have tutorial actually. After too unimportant message, the tutorial window disappears and l have to find out everything by my own. It is highly mean from such an expensive game like this including the DLCs.
I don't have fancy spending my time with watching the tutorial onyou tube or looking for it ellewhere. I am thinking about uninstalling it for a while.

I haven't played it since I last posted. I see there are tutorials on YouTube but I just can't even get excited about watching those. I obviously won't be buying additional packs. Seems a real shame that this developer doesn't understand the importance of a good tutorial for a somewhat complicated game where they want to try and sell more and more expansions. Had they done the right thing, I'd probably be playing it right now!

So what did you do differently? Cause after a long time, I got this game, and I keep running into the problem, with the hard shelter. these tigers keep getting stuck outside the building!

The first few tutorials want the player to do exactly as instructed at the time the dialogue instructs them to be done. It is frustrating but it is how those scenarios are set to work. Best advice is to not pause those while playing except when instructed to do so.

I have not played with it for a while, but as I remember it is impossible to follow the instructions, because it is not clear where are the objects with what l am supposed to follow the instructions. And the instructions are not clear, it does not tell me WHERE to go, or HOW to do them, etc. And no. I will not spending my time for make it clear or will not take my time to watch you tube either. I hope there will be an update with it sometime and then l will have a go again.
