Not quite snapping right

Anyone else having trouble with building items not snapping correctly? And before the answers come in, yes i checked the rotation option. My wall peices are snapping off kiltered and really driving me crazy! Im tired of having to realign things. For that matter, even my paths are forming off a bit.

These walls are snapping like half way between the smallest step in movement, right?
Often this is caused when adding the thin roof tiles. A work around is to use the select grid option in the build menu. Just click it then click on a correct height section to set the base height back to normal. Hope this helps.

i try to select the grid from the wall piece and set it that way, it doesnt seem to help. i have tried every manner of ideas. i finally gave up and eyeballed it to be straight--ish.

Yeah, I've had times when nothing worked when that happened too. Did you try cloning a section that was the correct height?

thats my normal go-to when doing repeated areas, but this was a roof piece. The Arctic Roof decoration, so it was already difficult to get it into place, and then to find out is off by so many cm's.
