Indeed and everything was overgrown in a swampy forest.
Basically everything is green
Google Tropical peat swamp forests
That is how it should look like
Now we are just confusing the OP
A serious advice.
Look at pictures from real life scenes (habitats/etc) and then gain inspiration from that.
I dunno, it sounds like a pretty cool zoo idea to me, to be honest. It's just too bad we have no way of doing a custom terrain map outside of the zoo bounds to surround it with water to make it actually look like an island.
Well..
You could remove the guest spawners at the "entrence" and then make a large water section, then put a ferry + guest spawner on it (it has one by default maybe right?) and then they start at the "Island" that you have put around the area.
I guess that could be a good idea, Island with a nice forest on it. maybe a project for next year.
I really wish they'd let us use career/timed challenge maps as a starter for Franchise mode though, there are some very cool terrain and backdrops on some of them.
You could go full "cover" mode with tree´s etc. But yes.. you can´t make it "water" on the outside. Maybe that could be a suggestion for the official forum.
I don´t play career or challanges, they are not really my kinda thing. I mainly play Franchise mode.
I have a few enclosures without fences, but it can also become "too much" unless there is a specific theme and not to many different animals around.. (I maybe often make them abit too large, the enclosures that is) and I am just really bad at making them look great.
Or is it just walkthrough habitats, and those funny looking education boards?
Easy things to make is a slide, swing, sandbox, etc.
If you are really cool you add a habitat near by with some fluffy animals for them to pet as well (petting zoo)
But it has to look like this
