But from what I've observed from having 8-10 bear habitats (in every all bears had 100% welfare) is that stars come quicker, the more quests are there, observing animals and having good time.
So all my bears had all theirs needs met, yet it took ages for them to get 1 star, then next. Because habitats were in most distant part of ZOO. 7-9 years took to get 1 star. It was dramatic. ;)
And after I've put ZOO entrances near these habitats and more guests started observing bears, getting educated, etc., it occured that even baby bear got 1 star. And I was sure that only adult animals can get stars.
So education level is also important, guests happiness (including surroundings rating, etc.)., number of guests, their education level and so on.
Think of it that animal star rating is rather what guests experienced about this animal.
So remember that you can make time to pass few times faster. 3 times? So if you prepare everything, just press the arrow in bottom-right 2 times to make time fly faster. Pause if anything needs attention, resolve it and unpause and make sure that game is set to fast.
Have wonderful Christmas! <3
With how long it takes elephants to mature to adults....that's going to be the biggest hurdle for this challenge imo. They breed SO SLOW.
Does anyone know if the challenge will accept both Indian and African elephants?
Elephants are slow breeders. The time between births can be agonizing. As well as the time to mature being forever long. They also require a lot of cash to feed them so do this challenge in a already profitable zoo. And be prepared to have several breeding groups. (as many as six to begin with)
All that being said, this is not an unbeatable challenge.
One Key is to start with above average appeal rating ( above 6500 for a 13 year old)
Must be a holiday thing, because the same thing here. I had my zoo all ready for this challenge and have been so occupied in the Sims that I haven't even fired up PZ since the challenge started. >.<
But since I added the elephants to my furthermost paddock, they are happy again, I am back to four starts xD So I am gonna go on and help you with your challange xD What do we get if we suceed and where to check the status ? I only have to release 5 right ? and my job is done ?
