IDEA: Large Exhibits OR Exhibit Extensions
Okay, hear me out on this one.

If the developers were to include a new addition in the next update or DLC pack, then here's what I think would be a good idea:

What if we voice a demand for animals that are too small to house in habitats but also too big to house in the grid-based exhibit boxes?

My solution: Large Exhibits OR Exhibit Extensions

Imagine the usual grid-based exhibits but they take up more than one grid space. They would either come pre-made as "large exhibits" that take up multiple grid spaces, such as 2x2, 2x3, or maybe even 3x3, or come as "exhibit extensions" that you place next to exhibits and attach it to the exhibit, making it bigger.

I also imagine these larger exhibits allowing more freedom with customization. You would still have to place food and water containers, enrichment, and foliage, but you would only have a select number of spaces to put them in. If any of you have played the Xbox version of Zoo Tycoon, it would be something similar to how you place objects in exhibits designed for larger animals.

I also the animals being a lot less static in the large exhibits, but depending on what you put in the exhibit, there could be a select number of preprogrammed routes that the animals take in order to get from one place to the other. Also, there would be a few select spaces where animals would be programmed to stay in one place doing nothing if they wanted to. Let me know if you had a hard time visualizing what I'm describing. Honestly, I'm finding it hard to describe it myself.

Here are some animals that I think would fit these larger exhibits:
- Small Primates
- Squirrel Monkeys
- Golden Lion Tamarins
- Cottontop Tamarins
- Small Mammals
- Sloths
- Tamanduas/Lesser Anteaters
- Bats
- Echidnas
- Bush Babies
- Sugar Gliders
- Rock Hyrax
- Large Reptiles that wouldn't fit in the exhibits already in the game
- Pythons and Anacondas
- King Cobras
- Alligator Snapping Turtles
- Small Tortoises
- Maybe they can house the iguanas in here instead?

Feel free to comment any ideas for how this could work in-game, what animals you think could work in these exhibits, what parts of this concept I should describe more, or anything else you'd like to add. Maybe if the idea becomes popular enough, the developers would consider it. (I wouldn't get my hopes up, though.)

I'm all for the dangerous animals on your list, but pythons, anacondas, and any snappers would need more than just a bigger exhibit-they would need an exhibit that's roughly 2000 times bigger than these, or more.
Wait, more like 10,000 times or more bigger.
100,000,000 times bigger?

Skunks would be nice, too.:Skunk:

I can't remember how big the king cobra exhibit is, but pythons have an exhibit space roughly the size of a museum diorama.
Alligator snappers, and all snappers, have an exhibit that is 2 floors high, with at least half of that height being water.

I think most of what you describe are animals that are kept in large fill in the blank houses. Mostly reptile or monkey houses.

I think that would be great. The exhibits work for things like dart frogs that are freakishly small, but are silly for the snakes and larger animals where you can only ever had two due to space. Every time one gives birth, they are immediately affected in terms of well fare!

I also love the idea of them having more animation and MOVING, but I suspect that won't happen as it would be a lot more work (though I am 10000% for it!).

At the very least I'd love options to expand them or anything that allows more creativity than the single, glass, square display.

Aww, the galago is CUTE! I had not heard of those. AAAAH! The lesser and the northern greater - SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this notion! I have seen some of these smaller mammals in diorama-like exhibits here and there. (Bush Babies, so KYUTE.) And yes, a bunch of them were in climate-controlled smallish habitats in reptile houses and such.

You should see how big one of the alligator pits in the St. Louis Zoo is!
They had a skunk in the Children's Zoo section, in a cage warning people to stay back so far, and not scare the skunks. :Skunk:
