Also works for Galapagos turtles
Some tips for Aldabra turtle farming. So there can be three females and one male in each habitat. They have up to 8 offspring about every two years. Young take *25* years to mature. So five to seven pens two of them for young. maybe four after things get going. place thee breeding groups in five year intervals at the start. Then see where it goes and how much you can manage. Clear some space in your trade center so animals can gain stars before release.
This strategy should yield 100 good releases in one week with only a couple hours a day.
Separating the young will help keep the fertility gene up and allow one to find mates that can produce higher star ratings.
Not one of the offspring has reached 3 stars yet, but they are only 30 years old (the oldest). Also you can also buy some 2 or 3 stars tortoises from the market and just let them grow in your zoo, if the breeding itself is taking to much of your time (and you don't enjoy playing on x3 speed)
