How to Bring Guests Further Out into the Zoo
I've been trying a lot recently with my franchise zoo to bring guests further out from the entrance than they usually are. Most of my high appeal exhibits (Pygmy hippos, 2 tiger enclosures, lions, etc) are near the fringes of my zoo and I want people to see them more, but they seem to cluster around the entrance no matter what. I have a small cluster of shops there and one fairly popular exhibit with peafowls, but I also have shops and more popular exhibits near the ends, so I don't understand why the difference in crowd is so drastic. I even built a monorail to transport people but even that's not boosting the numbers all that well.

My main thought right now is adding more of those tiny exhibits to attract guests, but I was wondering if you had any additional ideas.

You can try using transport rides, or place another entrance around the part you want more guests at.

It's all about crowds. is there alternate routes through your zoo? Are the paths wide? Is there congested spots? The guests react to these issues much like a real person in that if they can't get to a place because of crowds and congestion or if it is too far away they will give up on it. Transport rides will get little use if they do not go close or through habitats. The adding entrances option is also a great way to get guests moving in other parts of even smaller zoos. Also consider advertising screens for those distant habitats.

The Lemon - The above is good advice. I will add to it by saying I think most people have a problem with congestion in the front part of their zoo due to the percentage of people appearance (was not sure what to call it LOL)
If you have not done it, click on the zoo entrance or guest spawner and read the help tab under the question mark. It mentions that additional zoo entrances can be a great way of distributing guests in your zoo. It also mentions the guest spawners. I suspect what people do is place the additional zoo entrance with a guest spawner but do not turn off the extra spawners at the original zoo entrance (I play franchise so I know you can not delete them but you can turn them off). So, your guest spawner further in your zoo has to compete against four spawners at the original entrance. I suggest you place additional entrances with spawners further in and turn off some of the original spawners since that does not affect the zoo hours/prices and guests can still leave via a closed spawner. That should help balance your incoming crowd. Just my thoughts.

Also putting higher rated/attraction animals further away from entrances draws the Visitors through your park to get to them and an even distribution of drink food and gift vendors as well as toilets so they do not have to too far from any habitat to satisfy their needs. \plenty of ATM's too so they do not stop spending :LaughingGuest:
