Prettier staffroom?
So I just clicked on one of my staff, and they said that they wish the staff room looked more prettier...? How on earth am I supposed to fix that?

I think they mean by decorating (landscaping) the outside around it.

Hm, might be! Thanks!

If you click on the staff room and go into building edit you can attach decorations that will increase the scenery rating and decrease their negative areas. And those items need not be physically touching the facility.
All part of the game to keep players from just using basic facilities.

That's why they don't like the basic construction site looking one. But I keep going broke in my franchise zoo, so they have to make do until I can can breed fast mating animals and sell the offspring.
Which exhibit animals are best for that?

I can't afford habitats, either. Not after placing enough staff facilities like trading centers, and stupidly putting in food stands instead of vending machines at first.
I'm still going to have to take out the $5,000 loan to make the next exhibit!

Exhibits and donation boxes are the best source of cash for a zoo. Two exhibits can do more at less monthly cost than adding another habitat. For those donation bins, place them every 15-20 meters apart. using the null barrier for spacing is free!

Thank you. Now I just have to translate meters to feet. Meters are confusing to me.
On an unrelated note, I forgot to look at the barrier type, placed null barriers instead of glass, and the animal kept wandering in and out of the habitat!

Scorpions breed like mad, as long as you choose some with fertility. Poison frogs as well. You do not have to worry about inbreeding with the exhibits, just keep a male and female and sell all the rest. I like to start a franchise with those two in exhibits and african wild dogs, they breed quickly and have large litters (usually six). You'll get about three litters before the parents are infertile, then just keep one recently grown pup, buy an unrelated mate, and continue. Do minimal decorating and foliage until you get more money. A few external walls to cover buildings, just enough foliage to satisfy the animals needs. Grab trees from farther into the map and put them close to make your entrance nicer for free. Later on as the money comes in, you can go nuts and make it beautiful.

To earn money:

1) Ensure you have donation bins.
2) High rating animals (red pandas are a GREAT starter - get you CC or cash release vs sell).
3) Check your guest needs re: drink, food, shopping. If you see a line, add another shop.
4) Run the game in 3x speed - your animals will breed and babies age much faster to get your cash (learned this trick from getting all my gold statues in the timed scenarios - I NEVER lack for cash for long).
5) Exhibit animals with high breeding are also good for selling. The bugs...yikes, you can't sell them fast enough in 3x speed! 🤣

It is better to use meters in game as the frontier conversions often cause some issues and confusion.

You might not think all those lil flowers and tress matter much...But they do and they help make the guests happier. Keep placing them as you go and you'll get more money.

lol for that matter just pick any fast breeding animal and turn it on 5x faster...

I played 5x fast on the first 100 years or so...now I play 5x slow...

Little flowers and such only cost 10-30 bucks and make the guests happier which brings in money. Any time you can spend money adding things to make them happier you should.

Is the conversion that confusing to the game? Or does celsius versus farenheit matter?
I get confused trying to get temperatures right in celsius.
Numbers hurt my brain! I'm more of a word person. :steamfacepalm:

When I can make habitats, what are the best North American, whole entire eastern half of the U.S from the Midwest to east coast almost, animals?
I'm trying to keep the habitats fairly constant with that zoo map.
I will definitely add those bugs you mentioned, thanks!
I made the mistake of the diamond back turtles for accuracy, so it's taking forever to have a lot of them.

The tarantulas I have take 3 years to mature, but I can't resist those Mexican Red-Kneed beauties!:steamhappy:

Like the animals in my temperate sandbox. For some reason, I decided Australia would be a good theme to create blueprints, but then I have to add heaters to the habitat, and that could be expensive in franchise!
