Laptop controls

Game runs perfect on my HP Omen laptop but I'm having some trouble with camera controls without the use of an external mouse. Another issue is I can't properly rotate objects either.

Can someone help out if I need to swap some keybinds out? If not I'll just have to use an external mouse if needs be.

I would just use a mouse. I don't see how or why you'd play this without one tbh.

Go to settings/camera/standard camera and uncheck the box. That will make Q & E rotate. Hitting T will then toggle Q & E between rotate and Up/Down.

Thanks mate that seems helpful.

Any help with rotating objects though? When I hold Z and use the mouse pad nothing works :(

I can see how it would be more portable without the mouse. If you use X to activate advanced move and rotate when placing an object, you will probably get better results with the touch pad. Super helpful, thanks for this! I am wondering why the 'rotate camera with q and e' is not standard... Totally unexpected and weird. I spent a fair amount of time trying to figure it out. Never mind, now it works. Thanks again!

That post is quite old and one part I forgot to add was Page Up/Page Down to zoom.

This worked, but I do think they should work on their camera/ view capabilities - they are pretty rough around the edges.
