Thompson's Gazelle mystery!
So my wife is running a large-scale gazelle breeding program, and we realized that EVERY Thompson's Gazelle baby born is male. We know for certain that every one of the last 12 have been boys, because we started paying close attention, and we suspect that there's NEVER been a girl gazelle born in the zoo.

Right now there are 8 new male babies in the zoo, and zero females.

Anyone else have this problem?

(Bongos, camels, and hippos are doing just fine in the same game. It's just the gazelles.)

Strange :/

Hmm, 8 males in a row is possible, but just really low odds.

If it is a bug, idk, maybe replace the gazelles and see what happens with the next generation of offspring. Otherwise, it just sounds like bad luck

It's 12 in a row, for sure, probably more. Kind of starting to defy the odds there. :P

I don't hear much about Thompson's Gazelles, since not everyone has them, so I wanted to see if anyone else had noticed a problem.

I do have several male and female Thomson Gazelles, which were born in my zoo.
I've had similar problems with many animals .. I'll have a string of single sex births for ages and then all of a sudden one or two will drop of the opposite sex. Less of an issue if the majority are females but when you end up with 10 males and 0 females from 3 or 4 broods it gets worrying .. then the 5th or 6th brood will have 3 females.

It could be just bad luck on the roll of the dice .. or something is tweaking the odds, such as environment or parents stats.

Yeah that seems weird, I have Thompson's gazelles and they produce male and female offspring pretty equally

I have the same problem with my pangolin. I bought a new female and she seems to produce 50/50 female now. It was a full 50 years without girls for me....

Update: We DO have baby girl gazelles... 3 out of 21 babies. I actually find that stranger than if it were zero. This, by the way, is with five males breeding 2-3 females each.
