how do i make this traversible?

for my flamingos. i noticed they are not swimming in the top pool, so i tried building a bridge but its just not working. i cant work out why, or how to fix it.

Slopes within some habitats have to be quite gentle, and some creatures cannot even traverse gentle ones. (Where as others, unexpectedly, seem able to climb cliffs. Such as hippos and elephants!)

they can fly!!! but it doesnt matter, because i cant put the pictures in the post anyway. it is a gentle slope though, over the rocks, kind of like a bridge.

Might not be wide enough then. For proper pathfinding the path has to be a lot wider than what it would look like from the size of the animal. There's a video about this somewhere on Youtube (Traversable area explained or something like that).
