Is there a way to create the shops without automatically hiring a person. Ive had in many cases, created shops and had extra vendors because I wanted to replace where the shop was and it was too late to Undo it. Which forces me to hire a new person each time. That is very inconvenient.

True, but, you usually need more than one vendor per shop to keep it running full-time, otherwise there will be times when customers want to buy, but no vendor is there because the one is taking a break. So, a few extras isn't so bad.

I also find that annoying. Especially if you're just in creation and building mode, need the shop but don't need the staff member yet. It's not as if the game hires a Keeper automatically when you make a habitat. I really don't know why it has to auto hire vendors.

MissedHurry has a good point though. More than any other staff you do need plenty of spare Vendors.

If you duplicate an existing shop, it doesn't hire a vendor I believe

On the other hand, if you move a shop, it closes and the vendor comes back in via a guest spawner. The thing is though, if you don't want them, just sack them.
