For new themes it would be nice to have a Medieval theme just for the extra bricks and wood.
For new animals - Beavers, Sea Lion.... And let's say for exhibits a Puffer Fish.
I also want the guests to have something to do other than "just" look at animals. More variation in food stalls, more interactive or reactive things. A lot more decoration for the park in general. It still feels kinda empty and boring for the visitors.
I could probably go on, but I'm getting tired of thinking of more animals I want to see.
OH... Rare Hybrids like Ligers from putting Lions & Tigers in together.
Vicious Bad Moody Insane Beast!! .... Would be good in the Zoo.
They'd need to have automatic 0% fertility and immunity for accuracy, but on the upside they'd be really popular with the crowds.
A reduction in the clipping
A way to stop guests just strolling through fountains and walls as if they aren't there - a null barrier type thing perhaps
I'm not fussed about rides generally, but a carousel and play equipment for the child guests would be good - every real life zoo has a play area!
Less crime! Littering yes, feeding the animals yes, but it's ridiculous all the pick-pocketing and vandalism going on. I don't mind a little bit but this is taking the biscuit! I can't imagine it's such a problem in real life zoos!
A wider variety of 'ready built' waterfalls
An official way to create underwater tunnels
Guests wanting the occasional rest - no one ever sits on my blooming benches, even to eat!! In real zoos every bench is always already taken
Official level crossings so paths can cross the train tracks
Animals to not always take a crap when you go to watch them. Maybe the devs thought it would be funny but it's kind of distasteful that it's just what always happens.
Animals that shouldn't squat to crap no longer squatting! It looks very strange!
Small mammals in exhibit tanks. I can't speak for everyone but I'd personally far rather watch a gerbil scurrying about digging tunnels, nibbling food and being characterful, than a sleeping snake under a heat lamp!
More habitat animals, preferably cute ones!! On my wish list I have: Siamang gibbons, meerkats, Arctic hares, sea otters, at least one African rhino, dromedary camel, Moose, capybaras, sloths, clouded leopards, wombat, sun bear and lynx.
I wouldn't mind fish tanks or aviaries that you just place like exhibits.
A petting zoo/children's farm that's just a building you can place and customize the size/exterior of would be good too. A nocturnal house along the same lines would be good.
A lot less 'themed' stuff and a wider variety of basics. The zoos I've been to here in England the bins are just bin, the paths just paths and the walls just walls - there isn't a lot of OTT themed gubbins. Obviously the themed stuff is fab if you're creating a zoo based in those specific countries but personally I'm boring and always select 'temperate Europe', so I'd selfishly like a wider variety of boring basics, and less of the fancy stuff I never use.
And an option to turn off Inspector Notifications.
There are options for almost every other kind of notification, but for some reason I can't stop the game blathering on about the inspector constantly.
I play the game at high speed, trying to breed animals with superior genetics while watching the Timeline for maturation events, but the stupid inspector notifications keep popping up over the timeline and blocking my view.
Also the 'Blahdiblah is stressed' notifications, when the reason the idiot thing is stressed is because it's gone for a swim in the pool in the middle of its habitat, or walked into the shelter, so it now assumes all its friends are dead and it's alone in the world... that has got to be fixed! Also reindeers crying about their pond not being cool enough in a temperate climate. I really doubt real life reindeers give two hoots about that!
If I could have had my say I'd have had time move a heck of a lot slower, and match weather with the seasons, but it's too late for that now. Hopefully Planet Zoo 2!
A way to export a franchise zoo into sandbox. I love playing in franchise, but would also like to be able to share my zoos on the workshop once completed.
