What animals are classed as semi aquatic?
Not sure what to get for the habitat

Saltwater Crocodile in base game. If you own the Aquatic DLC, then it adds 4 more: King Penguin, Giant River Otter, Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman, Gray Seal

If you're asking about animals in general that require water, there are a lot: Hippopotamus, Gharial, Flamingo, Baird's Tapir are the ones I know

Their 'needs' shows which need water. Look in the Zoopiedia, it gives all details for every animal you have in the game. Water volume and depth for example. Note that it will increase for the number of creatures you have in a habitat, just the same as land needs. Most noticeable as they have offspring.

As above - Use Zoopedia, this will tell you the ideal conditions for each animal inc which plants to use etc.

One interesting thing is that even if Zoopiedia etc says an animal has no need for a river or lake, or whatever, if you place one regardless, the first thing almost all the animals do is go for a swim! (If the slope allows them to that is) But I would say that any animal that requires water deep enough to use that fish feeder thing (it only works below a certain depth) is semi-aquatic. Again, animal needs will tell you the depth of water they want.

Not exactly. Mainly the animals in the latest DLC are semi-aquatic. Meaning they swim deep and for a long time. The other animals from the original game and older DLCs that say they need water, really only means rivers (it tells you the depth they require.) But as I say, even many that don't require water seem to love a swim! Almost every habitat I build has at least a pond in it. The animals will actually drink from it. (And get sick if it's not clean.)
