how much management is there in this game?
I'm not looking for something hardcore. But i'm more interested in the management part of these kind of games rather than the creative part.

is the management part fulfilling and lots of content? Or is this game mostly for people who are creative and are focused more on the building a beautiful looking park and enclosures with the tools rather than focus on management?

Massive amounts including personal, animals, habitats, crime, selective breeding, shops, etc. ( more than I could ever list. )

Basically I love this type of game... :P Playing on Hard is the only way I started out on Hard.

After playing some I made my own franchise Now 90+ employee's and 2.5+ mill.

The management part is basically nothing. The game isn't really even about the animals. The game is focused for people who want to build things.

I would say it's up to the player how they play the game... :D

If you like to micro manage things it's pretty interesting.

You will have to build pens and paths and put up the premade shops, employee buildings, power, water treatment, vending machines, etc... You don't have to build massive pretty buildings and pens...Simple works just fine.

It depends a lot on the mode you decide to play. People who only want to focus on building or just on watching the animals might play in Sandbox with whatever settings make them happy (in this mode you can turn on or off everything from breeding and predation or escapes to fear and death). For you, you'd probably enjoy Franchise mode, as it requires you to keep up with a lot more managing staff, costs, breeding and selling animals, and keeping guests happy, which becomes more challenging the bigger your zoo gets as you build it up. If you don't want to build things yourself, there are a ton of blueprints available. Career and Scenarios take you through some preset zoos and tasks to accomplish. Personally, I think that the Devs put a lot into designing the game for multiple gameplay styles so it has something for everyone.

Great question, OP, and I think the replies cover it pretty well.

As a "city builder" type game, this one is *full-on* in terms of game-play options, including Workshop support.

At the current sale price of $17.99, it is also quite a bargain. I'm just hoping I live long enough to delve into its complexities. ;)

The game has a lot of management in it, but I wouldn't call it fulfilling. Same as with Planet Coaster, I usually end up playing in sandbox, because research, electricity, water and handling animal offspring become annoying. I especially hate it when I got to deal with the offspring. The menus are made for building and the entire game is made for sandbox.

The game provides plenty of scenarios and campaign missions that focus entirely on the management of zoo's.

There is a fair amount of content in those campaigns too and most campaigns differ from each other enough to warrant a decent play through experience.
You'll manage animal habitats and their welfare, you'll see; staff shortages, zoo's making no money, establishing tour rides, too many situtions to list tbh.

Then you have the sandbox modes than can be played anyway you wish as the game now enables you to check multiple settings and parameters.

I have 1 zoo that is fully sandbox where I can create my "ultimate zoo" without worrying about the managemenet side.

I have 5 sandbox zoo's that I started from scratch in hard mode. It took a while to balance my income, but they are now fully functioning zoos.

I am also slow burning the campaign atm too.

You'll enjoy it for sure, there is a lot to do for every type of player.
