Aardvark always stressed need help.
My Aardvark seems to always be streesed. I dont understand why, I built his habitat very nice and it looks beautiful, all green stats too. But He always becomes 100% stressed every 1-2 mins about 1.30 mins exact. I thought it might be the guests are crouding his cage and scaring him, But that seems not the case because i gave him a nice cave full of brush to retreat too.

Anyone know what too do, I hate the protesters coming and destroying my lights etc.

1-way glass, Do Not Disturb signs and Ambiance Speakers are probably your best bets to reduce stress.
One way glass is the better approach and having screening plants around the perimeter of the habitat helps. For the very shy animals like the aardvark one should keep that habitat off the main path to limit big crowds from getting too close. Of course one should also make certain the required space and shelter are at 100% and the group size is correct. Note that when breeding animals it is common for them to get stressed right before birthing and not recover till afterwards.
The placement of the habitat also influences stress, are the Aardvarks near your entrance? Are they near an area that has a lot of foot traffic and a lot of noise and people, if so then I would move them to a habitat in a quieter area of your zoo where only a few guests visit. :)

Like the others have said, also use 1-way-glass and "do not disturb" signs, they really help to reduce stress :)

I dont see what the problem is, As you can tell i added some folliage to his den to help, (No No Avail) I wanted atleast 2 ards here but im having trouble with just the one.

Screening plants are vital and one way glass. In your case they are super exposed from all around.

Hmm...okay let's have a look :)

First thing I noticed is that the enclosure can be viewed on all sides, that's okay for some species but for shy animals like Aardvarks I would make most of the sides solid (like wood or concrete etc, so the guests cant see) and have a few select viewing spots made with 'one way glass'.

It removes the "goldfish bowl" feeling and gives the animals more places to hide and to move away from people :)

You have a "do not disturb" sign which is good but it doesn't cover the entire radius of the enclosure. If you go to the heat maps overlay, security and crime, do not disturb signs, you can see the area of effect (AOE) of the sign (as a blue circle) you could add more to cover the whole habitat (You can also hide them underground, the AOE still works)

These are just my personal suggestions, hopefully they can help you :D

Your habitat looks pretty but... Screening plants should be placed around the perimeter. Too many viewing spots are not good for the shy animals. One can check zoopedia to find out if an animal is shy. The picture also shows what seems to be a small habitat, perhaps too small? There should be areas that are more than 15 meters from any path so the animal/s can get away from guests.
I know this is an old post but it really helped me with my animals. I understand a bit better how to place my screening plants! Thank you very much to everyone who responded.

I agree, I learned from it, too! Thanks for reviving it, Aalyara!
Hi there is no shelter so he will be stressed try placing more plants and trees and also use one way glass and raise the barrier as you do not want people to see over the fence as that adds to the stress hope this helped sorry only just realised this is from 2021 LOL
