Animal Market Crashes
Ever since the new update and Southeast Asia DLC pack, I've had a few glitches and crashes. I know other people are experiencing crashes too, but I'm wondering if others are getting it for the same reasons.

I crash the most when putting my animals up for sale on the online market. Sometimes it also happens when I do a quick trade or even releasing them to the wild. I've also been able to sell the same few animals over and over again! My trade history will show that someone bought them, but they're still in my storage. Usually when I try to sell them again it crashes, but sometimes I do get away with it. Occasionally an animal that was in my storage, but I HAVEN'T sold will go missing all together. Sometimes after coming back to the game after a day or so, some of my trade history and storage is fixed and looks like it should, but not all of it. Other than that, I haven't noticed anything except for one of my Binturongs stretching out and becoming a flat, skeletal thing like Sims sometimes do. It fixed itself before I could get a picture, but it was creepy, lol.

I've made a few crash reports and at this point I'm still playing, but it's getting irritating. I just hope it gets fixed soon.

And take a bit time to go through the latest issue, maybe yours is already reported, than confirm it. This is more helpful than complaining here

Did you leave the trade interface without the animals you were planning to sell disappearing? I also got a lot of crashes but I find if I wait a little longer after I sell the animals, almost everything will be fine.

(if you do not have an account yet, you need to sign in on Frontier page and then you log in with the Frontier account, basically linking it to the issue tracker page)

Patch today, is it good for anyone else having this problem now? I was crashing a LOT while releasing, selling or rehome animals so I hope it's fixed.

The new patch details don't seem to mention that, or many other problems some people have.

The patch notes do mention "Crash fixes" though, they just don't detail which specific ones.
Thus the reason I asked about this specific one.

So far so good for me, haven't crashed yet and have released about a dozen animals, sold 2 or 3 and rehomed 2.
Keeping my fingers crossed.

Followup from me... still crashes. I was able to play quite a while, selling, releasing and rehoming quite a few animals but I just had a crash selling via "quick sell" an old animal that was in the trade center.

Still crashes for me. I got contacted by support and asked me to try to play the file on another laptop (my bf has similar laptop to mine, mine is 6th his 7th gen Acer Predator), and I excessively used animal market for an hour there, and no crash! But on mine it happens very often still.
It was a crash after doing a quick sell, not immediately again, but it happened after few times.

Interesting. I wonder how many people having trouble with the game are also using laptops?

Honestly should not matter, especially since it is a gaming laptop :/ I have no issues on my bf's model, but for some reason it is a problem on mine, while specs are still in the middle of recommended requirements. I got back to them with this information since they wanted to check if it is my game file that is the problem (according to them, through the crash files they say my game has a problem loading game files...), if it crashes on another pc, then the file is problematic - but alas, it did not.

I play on both a laptop and my desktop, and have the crashes when selling/releasing/rehoming on both.

I agree with @TinnaAres though that it should not matter. My gaming laptop is better than the desktop of literally every other PC Gamer friend that I have.
It's 2021, laptop doesn't necessarily mean lower performance anymore, there are vendors with very good gaming laptop product lines. It's just significantly more expensive than a comparable desktop.

That being said, since today's patch it is MUCH less frequent for me. I've only had 1 crash all morning whereas yesterday I had like 10 to 12 in the same period of time.

Exactly that! And I like to have my gaming laptop because I can go visit places and still game if I want to.
On that note, they are less frequent, I agree, but still unpredictable and I really cannot be bothered to save the game every 5 minutes in case of crash. I tested my other franchise that I haven't played in a while, and it took 30 minutes to crash after I pressed 'rehome' (crashed just now).

Game mode might be a factor. I only have these crashes in Franchise mode.

I'm also replaying all the career stuff to get credit for doing them on hard because difficulty settings didn't exist back when I did them and played for 5 hours straight yesterday in career mode with no crashes at all.

I played for more than an hour on my new challenge mode and also no crashes there, but some other bugs - in the trading market when setting a filter for either price or credit, nothing showed up, but if you turn them off, all the animals show up. - I did not test this now so I have no idea if it is fixed with this update.
