Animals keep escaping through previously perfect barriers

Anyone any brilliant ideas on how to fix this?

I updated to 1.6.3 today and opened one of my older (made it about a year ago) zoos, only to find my flamingo's suddenly jumping their fence (right height and type checked) and the nyala's and bongo's just run through their barriers (also checked for type and height). The traversable issues are pointed out on the heat map, but no matter what I change, the problem stays or gets worse (adding new points of possible escape). I tried taking away the door and adding it again to recalibrate the height of the barrier, but this does nothing to help the issue.
I've never had issues with the game and this is the zoo I'm most proud of, would suck if it ends up being unplayable.

And to add to that all of a sudden I get warnings about issues with the speakers overlapping, when the heat map shows no overlapping at all...

I solved the fence problem by raising or lowering the ground around it (or flatten to foundation). Not sure it works all the time, but everytime I had sudden escape routes that weren't there before, this helped.

Assuming you are not using mods, try putting animals in storage, save game, load game, and add animals back to the habitat.
