My keepers dont seem to feed the animals anymore, is this another bug of the update?

I see your 278 hours so not sure I can really tell you anything you don't already know.

Still, are you sure you've assigned the enclosures to a work area and made sure to assign those keepers to that area? If you have too few keepers they may be distracted with other work. There's also more specific settings when you select the individual keepers themselves to check which tasks they will perform like cleaning or feeding.
I would try set a couple of them to *just* feeding and watch what they do.

Remember that the keepers will only walk so far before giving up and can only do a limited amount before resting.
That being said I have had a glitch where one keeper got stuck in an animation loop inside a keeper hut and a line formed with keepers waiting to get in. The only fix was to delete the keeper hut and replace it.

Same thing for me. Yesterday she fed the Galapagos tortoises all day and did a good job. Today she dumped the brown pile of slop on the ground just inside the keepers gate and now, while standing *IN* that pile, jumps up and whoops for joy and then leaves. Of course she recognizes the animal as being fed. I have work zones and all that, the keepers hut and staff room are just across the path from the keepers entrance. I've verified files, so that's okay. The keeper walked all the way across the enclosure yesterday to stock the fruit spike, so distance is not a problem and she still cleans regularly.

I tried to move the food trough under that pile of food, but because it is right next to the keeper gate, it turns red and I am not allowed to move it that far. I cannot delete the food pile - that's what I need to do, but there is no option for that! I could fire that hand and hire a new one, but if they see that pile of food on the ground, they probably wouldn't feed them either. And in a sandbox zoo where no guests have entered yet, zoo is still closed, it is annoying to get protesters alerts when I have that turned off. I could go back and turn welfare off so they won't be starving, but I wanted a few things turned on to keep the animals active and engaged. Sure hoping these little hiccups since the update will soon be resolved or that restarting the game will rectify this.

To me it sounds like you have a disobedient keeper.

ANYWAYS... make sure that the keeper can get to the feeding areas. Turn on heat maps and go to habitat. Then select in the drop down Keeper Traversal Area. and then make sure its in blue. if so then i cant help you.

Yes, traversable areas have been checked. I restarted the game, then rebooted my laptop, fired that hand and hired a new one. It took a few minutes for "disable all alerts" to take hold. I watched the vet and keeper come in together, check off their lists, and leave. I've moved the food trough to both sides of the keeper entrance where it is allowed, and still this new keeper stands next to the pile of food, and won't fill the trough about 10 feet away. But now that welfare is off, all I can do is continue on and hope for an update to the update since the pile of food cannot be deleted.

Thanks for your advice and for trying to help.

One last thing to try would be to temporarily move the habitat wall beyond that offending mess. It might just disappear and let you move things back where it was.
