NEW - Habitat Web Cameras
We have added a new asset for your zoos: Habitat Web Cameras. These can be found in Facilities>Media Devices and Education>Visual Media
Habitat Webcams allow you to set up view-able cameras in and around your habitats, offering you a great view of your animals
All camera effects can be accessed from within the habitat webcam view
Habitat Webcams also offer you a small boost to your zoos marketing, encouraging more guests to visit
Marketing is capped at 1.5 stars and is only counted once per habitat

yes, but still.............. what's the purpose? it would be GREAT if we could project these images on the big screens inside the park - guests would be able to see animals much closer and in dark as well

And it lets you stare at your computer screen while you are looking through a web camera view to stare at your habitat animal that may or may not just happen to walk in front of the web camera. How neat is that?? :D

One could use that web cam view to record their gameplay to create clips that can then be assigned to video screens in one's zoo.

Seems the purpose is to entertain the player? as well as aide the web marketing option of "viral video"

Well, I like to think there are people signed into my Zoo's website with my 9.99 a month subscription, taking virtual zoo tours with my webcams. For those unable to travel.

that´s nice, but it would be better if we could project these images inside the zoo ;-)

I thought this was a no-brainer. I can display what's going on in burrows, why not have the ability to link webcams to the screens. Lesigh, just Frontier things.

For example, to view my Jaguar when he dives for food. I set up a webcam to watch him. Works really well. Can't use it though.

I just stubbed my toe on this one. I saw my guests complaining about the view they had of my sable antelopes, and said, "Hey, I bet there's a camera I can use. I mean, why not, there's cameras underground in the burrows and ones in the sky for security." So I mounted a webcam on the front of the shelter and saw that there were great views of the animals. Then I tried to display that view to my guests. And then I came here. And now I am going back to my zoo, to reverse my purchase of the webcam. Bummer. Really, all we can display on all those screen is advertising, and shots of curled up animals in burrows?
