Water Depth

As my avatar might suggest, the water mechanics are driving me to DRINK!

Honestly, this is driving me crazy. It keeps telling me my habitat has 0 depth water when it's just not the case and I am clearly doing something wrong with my new Grey Seals. Peta lunatics have crashed my humble zoo and I feel like there is nothing I can do about it. I have chizzled right down to middle earth in both those pools so I dunno...at a loss.

Please ignore above message. I left the game and re-entered and now it is perfect. Goes to show you, the old stop and start trick often does the job.

Ignore the water depth listed in the habitat tab, it's super inaccurate. Instead, check your seals' terrain areas to see what it really is. Also, the docks are buggy as heck right now and screw with the diving mechanics. Whenever I have a seal go under them, their space goes to 0% and doesn't revert back to normal until they surface. Makes their welfare tank when that happens. Get rid of the dock, just let your seals chill on land. You're going to need lots of water for seals though, and they will also require both more water area AND have an increase in deep water requirement as their numbers go up.

Glad you got back, because it suddenly resorted back to 0 depth water again, and the protesters came back. I have taken an image shot of the seals terrain needs below and it still tells me I have 0 which clearly isn't the case

Not sure why it says 0m but the seals likely have another issue. Check the heat map in the bottom left corner or 'H' and go to traversable area (don't forget to select an animal). Should show you where your seals can go.

It just seems to have a mind of it's own. After 3 minutes of game time it seemed to realise there was loads of water and now I have my habitat welfare rating up to 99%. Strange. Worked out in the end somehow. Must be a bug of sorts.
