Adding DLC for already started zoo?

Hi,

I started the game a few weeks ago and felt in love with it. Now I want to buy the DLC packs, but I am currently bulding a big zoo in challenge mode.
Will I get access to DLC content like new animals, assets and research in my current zoo when I buy them or do I have to restart the zoo?

Should be no problem, don't know how far/if challenge zoos restrict gameplay features though.

Yes, though I believe if Challenge works with the same restrictions as Franchise, you'll need to have your mechanic research the new pack in order to have access to the new buildables.

^ This. You don't need to restart your zoo. On the first day of Australia, I plopped the roos right in with my camels and started research.

I only managed to get the Australia pack a week ago but this is included in all my existing zoo's. I suspect the same will be true on Tuesday for the new DLC.
