Visitors?
Although I have disabled "Visitors" in my settings or enabled "Friends only", visitors keep showing up. Why is it not possible to disable this???

Those visitors are the vip visitors. The others are guests and the only way to stop them is to not open the zoo at all.

What are vip visitors?

So, I can't disable visitors at all? Sorry, what a crap... I don't like "visitors", if I wan't play for my own!

Just to clarify, you clicked on the setting that says "Avatar Zoo Visits" and selected "Friends only"

If that is the case then yes, you should have disabled random Avatar Visitors and only allow Friend Avatars to visit your zoo

I would send a bug report to Frontier if that is the case. It sounds like that setting is not working for you and should be addressed

Just to clarify, when you see the VIP guests in your zoo, no other PZ player is actually "visiting" your zoo. No one can see what you're doing at all. Your zoo is not visible to anybody but you, unless you choose to place it on the Workshop, and only then, people can download a copy of your save at whatever version you uploaded.

So you and your zoo and your gameplay are not being viewed by anyone. I think that feature is really just to give the illusion of other players visiting, but it isn't real.

But why are this "random visitors" have names, that are really look like normal users?
I've now played with steam offline and no visitor is there!

I think too this is a bug!

They are random names of people who play the game, selected by an algorithm, and may be playing online at the same time you are. They even appear as that person's avatar that they made, because those things are part of the online features of the game. It's something that Frontier included to make it seem like other players are visiting you, but it isn't real. If you don't enjoy it, then do what you have been doing, and just play offline. If you did disable it online, and they still show up, then send a bug report about the disable not working when you are playing online.

Thank's that will help!

Are you talking about the big crowds of people that visit and walk around the zoo and buy your food and drink and donate money while viewing the animals?

Or are you talking about the small number of VIP guests that appear randomly on their own and wander around the zoo ?

If the first, it can only be stopped by closing the zoo from the zoo menu. You can still place animals and have employees but you won’t have any income or status changes.

If the second, that is controlled via the option you are talking about, if it is talking about VIP visitors (other player avatars) to your zoo and not your avatar visiting other zoos.

I’ll do a few screen shots later to help clarify the difference.

Adjust Visitor Count - Disabled (No Avatars), Only Friends Avatars, Enabled ( All Avatars )
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2345013223

Limit Guest Count - minimum 500 by this slider, otherwise close the zoo via the zoo's zoo screen
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2345012840

Visitor and Guests - Highlighted person is a visitor, the others are guests
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2345012407

So the question is, who were you trying to stop show up ?

If you read above, I meant the VIP guests and I have already disabled them and they still show up!

Sorry, when I first asked the question I didn’t get a response. I wanted to make sure you weren’t confusing guests and visitors seeing as they technically mean the same thing. I’ve never turned that off as those visitors give me 100cc a day and it’s a novelty getting the odd vip visitor walking around.

Oddly enough, in sandbox mode the filter works.

So, either a bug or not intended for franchise as the option is in the general options rather than in zoo options. Your best bet is to put it on the issue tracker with what you are seeing and it may get fixed if enough people feel the same or the developers agree.
