Grey Seal wont calculate water?

My grey seal habitat has about 50% water, very very deep water. And in the welfare screen his space is at 18% and it says 0/4500 swimmable water and 0/whatever number of deep water...Why wont it count this?

Sometimes it takes a second for them to calculate it, let them move around. Unless they have been in there and then something is wrong and you know you have a problem. Try boxing and reboxing them or even relaunching the game

Still says 0/whatever did both relaunching the game and box and unboxing him

He might not be able to access it, check the land that the animal can use in Heat Maps.

Ahhh the seal needs the water cold ? I put one cooler in it but it probs wasnt enough to bring the temp down

The area where the land meets the water may be too steep for the seals to access the water, try removing the water and either sculpting the terrain into a gentle slope, or building a slope into the water. Pathing can be a bit dodgy in this game
