You have PLENTY on release.
I hate penguins. 20 had been a better fine!
Seems You have not bought a video game before. Dlc's are a business model that has been around for YEARS across the games industry.
The base game zoo is amply filled with animals for anyone who does not want to buy additional content. No one is forcing you to buy the game or additional content.
Research a game BEFORE you buy to avoid being disappointed.
With a genre like this, it is pretty much niche, even more so with the focus of the game.. They can´t work for free and they don´t get overly rich by making these.. Nobody force anyone to buy the dlc´s but I think many of them are well worth the price.
I don´t understand why people think all of these dlc´s could have been worked into the base game and still had take the time they had to make the game.. it is like people expect them to work for free.. most of the workers need food on the table, I don´t expect you to work for free either.
the only DLC i think adds anything actually NEW is the Aquatic DLC. The rest mostly add things you can already get in game (Jaguar / Clouded Leopard / Cougar = Bengal Tiger / siberian Tiger / snow leopard / lion / cheetah / etc )
North America DLC also adds a decent bit of unique things, but that and Aquatic are the only two i would say actually add something we didnt already have a version of already
Who's paying $30 for a two hour movie? You just outed yourself as an imbecile if that's what you're doing lmao It costs less than half of that to see a movie in IMAX and it's *Free* to torrent it.
Also OP is somewhat correct. The base game of PZ is severely lacking and Frontier doesn't help any with there continual lack of anything innovative. Let alone their DLC of basically re skinned animals and few building pieces. This is coming from someone who bought every Planet Coaster DLC, and happily too.
I reckon those 30 euro is 2 tickets with popcorn and water/softdrink.
Anyway. It is not comparable, because buying a PC that can run the games, electricity + internet cost and much more should also be factored into the overall.
With that being said, then gaming (videogames) in general are cheap luxury goods for entertainment. They are none essential, but many can access them (Some have ancient computers, but still play old and indie games without issue, even many games are free to play)
However.. back in the 80´s and 90´s I paid up to 60 euro for games.... yes 60 euro.. I don´t see much of an issue with paying for this game for what it gives me, but that is because it gives me joy and lets me relax. The hours spend in it has been pleasant and is well worth the price for me.
However. Worth, quality or well just about anything, is a matter of subjectivity. Is it worth it for you? well that is up for you to understand, there is no way to give this a "static" meaning, quality or worth... it has not meaning a priori... it is like life..
You determinate what gives meaning.
Have a very good day all and hopefully everybody will get to enjoy the game how they want.
