Animal mods

Not sure if many people here use any animal mods from Nexus. I just downloaded the safari animal pack, not used it to much yet but it seems to work great and doesn't cause the game to crash. I also downloaded some other mods (monkeys, penguins, cats etc) but now my game is crashing shortly after opening, especially when I open the zoowiki, does anyone know if there's a limit of the amount of mods you can run? Ive had to remove some in the meantime but they are the most recent versions of animals but would love to be able to play with them all.
Also I'm playing in challenge mode now to get the new animals but some still aren't coming up in the market place. How long does it take some of these animals to show up? Will they definitely become available if I just keep checking?

With mods there can be certain combinations that fail to work together even though they both work individually. And with the upcoming update many of these mods are likely to encounter some sort of issues.

Yeah I will be careful with the update coming up. Do you know if there's a way to find out which mods won't work together? Or is it simply trial and error? Thanks

Every update breaks the mods, so your game will crash naturally after the update next month. Usually it is upto the creators of these mods to update their mods and make it compatible with the latest game version (so you need to be on a lookout for those updates).

As far as figuring out which mods won't work together, you'd have to try them out by yourself. I suggest installing one mod at a time (individual/pack) and taking it from there.

Thanks for the replies. Also is it normal for not many animals to be available to buy in challenge mode? I'm used to them all being available in franchise from sellers but will they eventually turn up I just have to keep checking? Including the mod animals?

The limited options for animal purchase are part of the challenge. Playing through once will help you discover what animals to buy and when so that you can complete the challenge on the next play through.
