I would rather buy packs named after continents that come with at least 10 animals and a few exhibit critters for double the current price.
While that would also be nice, they would probably take close to twice as long to make the DLC, which means we would get fewer DLCs and therefore fewer continents since they probably won't keep making DLCs until they got the whole planet covered in that case. So the difference is basically: about 10 animals from a few continents or about 5 animals from alot of continents. I personally don't really care that much but I can also see people complain if certain continents are just never featured. I feel like that's a point no one ever mentions in this endless discussion about the number of animals per pack. I would've liked a quoll for the DLC but I'm not surprised it's not there. My favorite is probably the Cassowary and then the Dingos. Excited to build some habitats for them <3. With all the scenery pieces, 5 animals and two scenarios the DLCs is definitly still worth it when it comes to the money/playtime ratio.
It might take longer but if there were ten animals(non-exhibit) per pack; the quoll would have probably been in it along with the emu, wombat, Tasmanian Devil, echinda, and playtpus. Along with a few more exhibit animals like the frilled lizard, Sydney funnel web, thorny devil, and etc it would have been a lot better representation of "Australia".
I mean there are only 7 continents and they just went through two of the more diverse ones with just 10 animals.
I think they just prefer the drip feed method. little and often. keeps the game alive, fresh and money coming in?
I also think they may add 'expansion' packs at a later time, once all the continents are covered. so there would be, say.....an australia expansion pack that would include more animals from australia or an 'animal' expansion pack which would include a variety of animals from different continents maybe.
i hope we see an aquatic pack, farm pack and maybe like a pet pack with hamsters, rats, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits and a hedgehog!!!! etc. lol so you can do like an animal sanctuary type place and rehouse them or something along those lines.
I think it would just be really cool to see a massive variety and amount of animals in one game.
