Any chance you're talking about the entrance to the zoo?
So the gate to go in with the animals connects to start but then to continue in side the habitat it just give me a error (terrain modification failed) no matter how/where i place it. is any one else having this issue or knows what to do to make it work?
Nope, they are talking about placing guest gates on the habitat. The first one worked but the second one didn't. Sometimes I have had it so that I can't place any guest gates... it's all due to the positioning of the path in relation to the habitat walls.

Definitely a screenshot will help.
On flat ground with no path around it should have allowed you to place the gate on a segment of barrier wall.
Do you have water in the habitat ? That will stop the terrain from adjusting as needed when placing the gate if it is within the area of land it needs adjusting. Try removing the water and then try placing the gate again.
Is the ground raised when the gate is supposed to be put? If possible level that part of the land off and try placing the gate again.
1 - A normal habitat gate for the keeper only to use
2 - Walkthrough gate 1 or more for the guests to use - only these allow you to attach a path inside a habitat

Also there are hidden 'undergound sinkholes' which can't be seen but sometimes stop path placement, try using the 'flatten to terrain' tool all over the proposed habitat site until you stop seeing any small white cost labels on the screen while using the tool, all the time you see one of these labels with a cost value under your terrain tool it means SOMETHING is getting moved even if you can't see it - this has fixed 'failed' path placing for me more than once
See here, for example
