information on water purification needed
I know that you only have to have the water to be in the blue area for the water treatment to work, What I want to know is this.
I am building a zoo with its own river flowing through it, i am putting this river through many habitats, will one water treatment placed near the river serve the entire zoo as long as its fully connected.

Only if the river isn't separated by a wall. As long as it is one single water entity with no blocks it should handle the full area. But, for a whole zoo I would suggest at least one in each corner so that you are able to cut off connection and still have most if not all covered by another system.

For example:
Build a river
Place two habitats with a wall separating them going across the water

You now have 2 water areas. If you place the water treatment facility so that it covers both portions you are fine, but if it only covers one portion then the other will need a facility to cover it.

That makes sense. actually I have been able to use rocks instead of barriers as I am trying to build habitats with NO Barriers except the Null barrier , and so far every habitat is showing up as animal safe, Its to save mechanics from being overworked,

That might help. I would assume rocks do not count as blockages but if they did just leaving a tiny gap at the bottom too small for animals may be enough to treat it as blocked for water purposes.

You could always test it on a test zoo and see how the water treatment works on the farther parts of the water area.

I emptied the river to check that each habitat had no water and than refilled and all habitats had water. So I shall try it out in Sandbox and see if the water gets tainted anywhere

I would place a water purifier and then turn on the water-cleanliness heat map. You'll know if the whole body of water is being treated if it is green.

Oh gosh this is definitely what you need to do if you aren't already doing it. Every time I go to place a purifier I tick this box to see which water portions are covered. And then later on to make sure it is definitely cleaning the water.
