sometimes can't release animal to wild?
This happens in franchise mode sometimes for animals where the option is NOT greyed out or anything. The animal is available to release to the wild, and clicking on the button results in the whole confirmation chord etc. But the animal doesn't disappear from my list of animals, and I don't get the eco points. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to it. I've had animals I couldn't release be releasable later on in another play session. Does the animal release feature get saturated with certain types of animals and refuse them or something? It seems to happen most often to me with nile monitors and red pandas I try to release from my animal trade center list.

So I let the vet handle him and after he was cured I put him back into the trade center and then was able to release him to the wild.
Idk if the injury was the problem OR if putting him back into the enclosure did reset him in any way, but it did work in the end.

check and make sure they're not a pregnant female. I had a cheetah I could not get rid of at old age. I finally put her in another zoo and realized she was pregnant. She gave birth to twins right before she died, I guess I got lucky!

Isn't the release to the wild "globe" button "greyed" out if an animal is pregnant? Anyway, one of the animals I was having issues with was male, so I'm not sure what is going on. I click on the button, get the confirmation and the little musical chord playing, but the animal is not released.

I've had that happen plenty of times. Release button not gray, but the animal will just not disappear from my list even when the released music plays. Every time, it's been because it was a pregnant female even if it didn't show she was such in the list.

I think that might be the issue: the animals were probably injured. Strange that the release button is still green when an animal is injured or pregnant, though, and the game acts like the release went through without providing any kind of refusal message. It is especially maddening when there's a good deal on an animal in the market, and my trade center is at 50, so I try to quickly sell a couple of animals off to make room. But they don't sell and by the time the trade center has space, the critter at the market is gone :P
