Titan Beetles are a Nightmare
So I got titan beetles for the first time and they are so difficult to keep compared to all my other small exhibit animals. They breed so quickly but hate large numbers but also die after 1 year so its impossible trying to keep a breeding pair. I go round and check my small animals often to sell off large numbers and some I don't breed because they hate more than 2 but that's fine because they live about 20 years. These beetles are a nightmare.

Does anyone have similar problems or know what other small animals are this much work so I can avoid getting them lol.

Goliath beetles are much the same. But honestly I love them. Both beetles are a great source of income for when your zoo is starting out. But that's just IMO - obviously you differ and that's fine. But yeah, both beetles breed like crazy.

Yup, I stopped having them in my zoos because they are awful to micromanage. Literally most of my time would be spent managing the beetles back when I still used them. The centipedes and some of the spider species are very similar in terms of micromanagement. The scorpions aren't too bad, but avoid the other arthropods like the plague if you want less frustrating gameplay.

Yeah, the beetles are a bit frustrating. I like the exhibit animals when I first start a zoo as I see it as easy income. But I tend to stick to exhibit animals that live a long time, like some of the snakes, and iguanas.
