No animals being traded by players in Franchise mode?
When I first started playing the game, in franchise mode I could buy animals from other players. Now, it only shows animals from "Planet Zoo". Did I miss something?

Nope, you're not missing anything. People have just moved on from this game, so less players are breeding and selling animals on the market. It's not surprising, considering how laggy and frustrating franchise is. Frontier needs to get their s*** together, or there won't be anyone left to sell all 20 of the planned DLCs to (only half kidding).

You have to look really often... looked for days for some animals...
Some days are a lot better, some are horrible and you can't find a thing... (or only 10.000 inbreeding animals)

The best thing you can do is buying a loot... building some zoos with the same animals and breed for yourself... (and sell the ones you don't need)

I think it depends on the animal. If I need a tiger, warthog, peafowl or lion for example, or something common, there's always plenty of animals by other players. But if I'm looking for a spotted hyena or camel for example, I don't think I've ever seen any by players (or any priced under 10,0000 cc) and always have to buy the frontier ones.

I've also noticed that the market also lacks female animals. Trying to find a female Lemur or even a female lion is rare sometimes. So, I think it's a combination of things....perhaps less players playing the game. But I also think players hold onto their animals, especially the females since they are so challenging to get.

But as Senyuki said, the best thing we can do is build zoos with the same animals and breed for yourself. That's the strategy I've implemented. I have zoos in all the biomes (except tundra) and for some animals I put them in multiple zoos (if the biome fits). I think that's what has helped me tremendously.

That's exactly why I quit playing in the first place. I just recently started again. It has gotten slightly better but I expected way more.

I love the game. The graphics, the building options, the animals behaviour etc. But the availability of animals is a f*cking pain. I've started challenge mode because of this, and the problem isn't much very different! Wanted to start off with timber wolves, and yet there were only males available. WTF like.

Hi all, I can't share the opinion of some members here, who are want to blame Frontier for not being busy enough to fix our bugs, it's not as easy as so many people think. But I probably have another reason why trading from people is decreasing: Probably because of the - I'll call it - Animal Storage Bug. I wish there was a possibility to trade with Steam Friends... they really have to make this possible...
It would be soo much better for everyone. You could find people for trading GOOD animals...
A lot in the market is inbreeded stuff....

And we need a lot bigger storage... 50 animals is nothing if you have 10 big franchise zoos..

This so much.

I gotta admit. I have to release almost every animal that matures to the wild instead of putting them on the market, and they are damn good animals with excellent stats. It's the storage that keeps me from selling more. Mine is almost always full up to 50. I like to keep a good pair of my best animals so that I can replace dead ones. 8 of my slots are always used by 4 pairs of cheetahs for when I want to start a new franchise/breeding setup, so that's nearly 1/5 of my space right there.

I know this Problem very well...
50 is nothing when it is possible to have 25 zoos and more... i hope they'll work on this...

It is possibly from the Animal Storage Bug. I haven't been able to play in franchise mode because my animal storage doesn't work. I'm not sure how many other players have this bug but I have seen it mentioned on here a few times and it looks like they are finally looking into it.

Haven't heard about this bug... i can only put 50 in my storage... then my game says it's full.
