Cheating in Franchise
hi guys,

I dont know how to upload a screenshot of my Zoo, but maybe you can access remotely.

I participated on the giraffe challange. what i found is that you can cheat the hell out of these challanges by simply do the following.

1.Start a new franchise
2. Make a bleuprint of a habitat.
3.place that habitat 6 to 7 times. ( sell some animals from other parks to gain money )
4.buy the required animals for the challange.
5.Set up keepers and food preps.( after this step money isnt a thing anymore )
6. Start mass breading and sell / release them.

Because there is no limit on negatieve bankaccount you can contineu endlessly till you hit your target. Because PlanetZoo has alot of managing details its missing a crusial one. Going actualy bankrupt. Once in the negatieve numbers you cant buy anything to build, but all the other stuff in the park still goes on.

What would be realistic is once you enter a negatief bank valeu:
1. Keepers cant prep food anymore. ( No deliverys )
2. Employees go on strike. ( no salaries )
3. Employees quite, Animals Die ( or can get confiscated by the inspector )
4. Park will be closed by curators because of bankrupcy.

I know it might be a big thing to change, but this way its to easy. plus is generates an insane number of CC pionts. What then also can be used again in your other franchises. And then takes out the hole effect of the cc's you have created behind this idea.

I hope you guys will make the challanges more challanging in the future. Let all the players thing out a stratagy for completing these events. Instead of mass breading programs ( What is forbidden in some contries BTW ;) )

Kind regards

Why should someone do that... I was with the best players in the last event without using such things...
(But i have to say i never tried to stay in negative, and i never was in all my franchise zoos)

It's so much easier... for example -> buy Frontier Animals for Money / Low Points and Release them ... i had so much giraffes with 2 stars and more from that...
Also i released my older ones from regular breeding ... it was not that hard to become one of the best 10% (Gold) ...

That would be nice! Challengemode without challenge (money) makes no sense... it's the same with all this inbreeding animals (0 stats) in the market... nobody should be allowed to sell inbreeded animals...

the ape one i did on a usual way as it should be done. With the giraffe i figured it could be done different. so yha i cheated. that why i make a piont out of it. were i can do it i would think 20% of all players would do this on a regular base.

Also dropping into negative should be fixed in my opinion. thats why i opened up this topic :P

How is this cheating? Am I missing something?
I usually use an existing zoo, but I don't see any reason someone can't start a new one.
If I'm serious about the challenge I set up 5-6 breeding pens, if I don't have the required animals then I have to buy them. I had neither orangutan nor giraffes before the challenges.....
The challenge requires breeding as many as you can, so obviously I breed the animals, and the challenge is often to release them, but even if it's not you need to sell or release surplus stock.

Do you mean that you should just run your zoo as normal and if you happen to breed/release the required animals that's all that should count?

I'm genuinely interested as I honestly don't think that deliberately breeding for the challenge is a cheat.

hi Llania,

The breeding with 6 pens isnt the problem. running into the red numbers wile doing so is,
im more questioning the financial espect. As long the numbers are above negatieve i would say good job. But abusing the negatieve numbers is a thing to look at

Tbh Ben, I don't see that as a problem if you can recover from it. My primate challenge almost broke my zoo! The price of feed went up because I had more animals, and I hired more keepers to deal with the extra enclosures, but my income didn't go up. So I dropped the keepers and vets wages, then the keepers got unhappy and quit! So my animals were going hungry and getting diseased because the enclosures weren't getting cleaned often enough, then the vets were working too hard for the low wages, so they started quitting too! And the visitor numbers dropped because staff and animals were unhappy. It was devastating, and too much hard work to be fun.
I'm back in the black now, but it took a long time, and to be honest, the rewards weren't worth it. I only released 4 giraffes in this one.
I don't consider that I cheated, businesses go into the red all the time, but it felt like bad business practice and just wasn't fun. For that reason, the system will self regulate, because I won't be doing that again and I don't think many people will do it often. Getting your zoo back is too much hard work.

I found out about this a long while back, once a zoo goes negative and I can't get out of the red without starting over, I use that zoo for storage of animals while I set up a new zoo. But its been a long time since I had that level of money loss.
