Nyala Traversable Zone
So... this animal doesnt like bedding?!
I place down bedding and it turns that area into a non traversable zone? Like it wont go on it at all... I also tried to give it some more space with a slight ramp up to a raised area but even a tiny gradient is too much for this animal it seems? Like an old grandma could walk on that i made sure to make the rate of incline so so slight! Very odd.
Like in the Japanese scenario even the nile monitor could 'climb' at a very slight incline but the nyala cant do a tiny bit? Is this common for more animals?
More shocked at the bedding situation. Removing the bedding i gave it improved its area by over 30 square meters...
Edit: Meanwhile removing the bedding (i placed it on top of the shelter haha) turns 'amount of bedding' from green to red in the habitat tab? Even though it cant traverse any bedding?
Edit2: Maybe the tiny amount of bedding made the area under the shelter i tried to build myself too small? I moved the bedding to grassland and its traversable...
Still shocked some animals cant even climb a little bit.
I could try with terrain perhaps but area too small really.

If anything you aren't limited by area. Not knowing what the animal in question is, can it get under the shelter roof?
Bedding adds a tiny bit of height to the terrain so maybe there wasn't enough space in the shelter? Hard to tell without a screenshot.
And the ramp, well what kind of ramp? They can walk up inclined terrain, but construction items aren't always a good solution.

Just wait until you build a Hippo habitat, talk about fussy lol
Yeah it must have been the tiny bit of height added which made it just too low haha.
Still surprised it couldnt walk.
The ramp was build off the usual climbing tools for the monkeys but like i said not steep at all...
I mean i wanted to try with other pieces but i noticed i couldnt actually turns walls / floors upside down... Maybe with those rock claddings it would have gone better.
I tried creating a shelter with rocks and an area on top of it for the gemsboks with rocks and they can definitely walk (well run) on it! Guess nyalas dont like heights!

Edit: earlier in the Desert Eco scenario i tried using the rock claddings to get the gharials in the water from the higher area you cant edit because you cant edit the water. No matter what i tried they wouldnt go on the rock (even though i had seen the game designers make just that for the african wild dogs in the snow scenario to reach the water in the pool) I was forced to make the habitat longer so they had a narrow spot at the end of the habitat to go in the water...
