"api-ms-win-crt-convert-l1-1-0-dll" error after installing

My game wont launch, at first it told me to download "api-ms-win-crt-convert-l1-1-0-dll" I looked at a few videos of how to do it online but even after following the steps when i try to run using administrator it comes up a message saying "cannot start program - error".. please help!

That's a part of Visual C++ Redistributable 2015. I would go to add remove programs and uninstall both versions (x86 and x64) then go here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads and reinstall them. Just choose Run and let them install automatically.

Don't install the one labeled ARM64. It's for mobile devices.
