Putting Different Animals Together
In the zommpedia, it states if animals benefit for living with other animals (warthogs can live with zebras and so on) but it doen't say that for the African Elephant, could I still put the African Elephant in with the giraffes and zebras and warthogs? I know it won't give the elephants extra happiness but would it be bad for the elephants?

I have and they seem to be doing just fine. Hippos too.

In my experience you can basically put any herbivore together and it isn't going to have any negative effect provided they like the same plants/terrain.

Zoopedia only mentions those that get an active benefit from being in the same habitat together, many not mentioned can be in the same habitat but don't gain an active benefit from doing so such as the Indian elephant and the Rhino, they used to have an active benefit in the beta but it was changed on full release.

I put African Buffalo, Black Wildebeest, Common Ostrich, Common Warthog, Plains Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Sable Antelope, Springbok, Thomsons Gazelle, African Elephant, American Bison into one habitat and they're fine, I think you can add Nyala with no problem too but my Franchise zoos have all decided they don't want to load so I can't currently test this

African elephant used to get a benefit from other african herbivores, but not anymore

but you can put animals together, it helps if they like the same biome/plants, they just wont get a enrichment benefit.

i like to put okapi and bongo together, indian rhino and indian peafowl, camel and gemsbok, pangolin and tortoises

Thanks for all the responses everyone. I'm happy to hear that I can put animals together and it won't negatively effect them. Unfortunately I haven't been able for a while because the game just keeps crashing. I won't get to play until this issue is fixed from the developers.

In one of my breeding zoos, I put in Pangolins with Aardvarks and a dash of Bongos. They all require so little space, roughly the same terrain and except some minor plant dislikes, they all are happy and making the babies. ;)
