Adding shops without vendors

Is there a way to add just the shop? I want to just reassign my already-trained staff when I rebuild areas.

Alternatively, if there is a way to add an existing building to a block so it snaps in place and is part of the group when I edit/move it, this would be acceptable.

I'm thinking there may not be a way to add without the vendors, but you could put down the shop with the vendor and immediately fire the vendor.

You can move your existing shop (split from group and then move it into shell) and the vendor will teleport to the front of the zoo but then walk back to available shops- no new vendor comes with the move. I know this works in sandbox. Other option might be to force closure of the shop by way of work orders and then pause and move it into your new shell.

i wish they would just add a "no vendor" option for shops. they're all cross-trained anyway :/

I usually copy an existing shop if one is available. ... Then use the Zoo Management screen and click 'Vendor', and check who appears on the mouse cursor. If it's a guy, I hit Escape and do it again until I get a cute girl vendor waifu. Because why not.
