Zero Donations
Playing sandbox. I'm not getting any donations at all. Does difficulty affect this now?

A little yes but you don't say what difficulty setting you are on or what animals are failing to get donations, if you are talking about donations for exhibit animals they are always very low as most of your money comes from selling the offspring not from donations, if you are talking about habitat animals be patient because at the start of a year all donation boxes reset to zero and take a little while to get going again.
Next time giving more exact information on your problem would help, also you can go to settings
and select each of the difficulty settings and click on the question mark next to each of them to find out what each one does

Selling offsprings only gives you CC not money.

Money comes from stores, donations, exhibit animals and tickets.

Now I played sandbox but never had a problem with donations, even after reading this I clicked on one of the donations box and saw that one donation box had 5k worth of donations, I have about 10 around or more around one habitat. Most of them have donations, some don't.

What I just noticed is that the box with the most donations are the ones closest to education speakers ..weird, I only just noticed this.
I said you get money only for selling EXHIBIT animals, that is the ONLY animal that can be sold for cash - try reading my post again

Yes you are correct, I didn't see that part ..somehow.

I deleted my post then, because you took it to personally to highlight a few words there. Didn't mean to offend you, just tried to correct you. My mistake.
I play in sandbox mode ALL the time and the donation boxes are not working.. I like to see money go in even though I have unlimited money that I turn off. Plus the guests do not buy food or drinks in this mode anymore. Yes all my settings are correct, thats not the problem. They run up to the stands and walk away buying nothing, grrrr

I also play sandbox, zero donations in the whole zoo. but 5 star rating and 2k guests. They buy some drinks/etc. Donation boxes are near the habitat and always in a way so that guest have to go near them. Habitats are great, big and mostly good sight at the animals. No idea why it isn't working anymore. (since the new update it seems..)
me too

I am also having this problem. It seemed to change for me after I began a new zoo after the update 1.2.3. Also I am getting very low numbers for tickets.

Ticket prices $25 over 2000 people in the zoo and only $800 in ticket sales so far this year, average yearly ticket sales $2000. Are the people staying in the zoo for 10 years?

Also on the difficulty settings it says nothing about no donations on easy setting, which I set it at only to reduce animal stress levels since it seemed some of them could not be placated. It also says guests are more willing to spend more money which is obviously not the case since even my shops, which are getting sales, are not getting more than before. I am planning to submit a ticket on this but wanted to see if others were having the same issues first.

I am in the sandbox too, and they are making no donations, not using the ATMs either. They are buying a ton of hats and balloons, but there is no income shown. I think this is a bug that should be fixed, many use the sandbox to learn...

Is money needed in sandbox?

Anyone find a solution to this problem? It's been 2 years without donations in my sandbox game.

Bump. I know you can turn off money in sandbox but it's the only way to continue with campaign zoos and it's very bothersome to go from $200,000 annual profit to a 200,000 annual loss overnight because of a glitch.

Just dont play Sandbox.

Thanks for the help, 4chan. Just don't play the only mode I have any interest in playing, sure, that's a solution.:steamfacepalm:

Anyway, repeatedly closing and reopening the zoo fixed the problem, if anyone's still having this issue.

Yes, I still have this problem. Going to try this solution. See if it works for me too.

I had this same problem in sandbox. It seems selecting 'Increase Guest Stay' in the game menu disables donations
