Why are there none of them appearing in the market, and at ridiculous prices when they do appear?

Managed to get one for 100 conservation credits yesterday, haven't seen a single one for under 5k since then (if there are any at all), and sadly mine became infertile before fathering a male (got 4 females).

I just checked what African buffalos I sold so far and out of a dozen, only 3 have been males. Maybe the game screws odds towards female offspring? And does so too much, so the males are rarer than expected?

Maybe somebody who has mass-bred them can give us some numbers?

Yeah unfortunately, a lot of animals are like that when they're rare and hard to get and people who post them, post them for high amounts since they're so rare. Very aggravating. Too many animals overstated at 5,000 or 10,000 CC.

It's not that they're rare. It's just that buffalos (at least in this game) are super annoying to breed because [1.] it takes quite a long time for them to age up and [2.] they become unfertile at a very young age. I've completely stopped breeding them because of how much that annoys me :D

Managed to give birth to one male, as well as buy another one cheaply.

Now I have two seperate herds, already breeding.

Do I go for a third or can I just switch all the males from one herd to the other to keep the gene pool diverse?
