Zoopedia measure units vs barrier measure unit
Hi,

I'm new to the game, and I'm loving it so far. There is one problem I noticed. The zoopedia info on barrier height is using the imperial system, while the actual barriers are using the decimal system. For instance, the African Wild Dog has a boundary requirement of 4.125 ft.

Also, there seems to be a mistake with this particular example. At a height requirement of 4.125 ft, a wall of 1.26m would be required, minimum. My wall was of 2.5m, so 2x higher, and one of the animals managed to jump it. I know he jumped it, because the barrier is still intact, and he's been in that habitat for less than a day.

Check the heat map (H) for possible escape points. Maybe there was something else.

I had this issue with my timber wolves. There was a cliff in the enclosure, and i had a barrier going down from the top to the bottom of the cliff. and there was a low point that the wolves escaped over, so i had to raise one piece of barrier so it didn;t cut through the land.

It wasn;t particularly obvious. But as you are a rookie, like me, you may have missed this issue also?

Thing is, I'm the kind of person who hates modifying stuff, and usually go with the good ol' "As long as it works". I was in a franchise, and never modified the terrain height, as the only reason I had to do it would have been for animals that require water, which I didn't have (and wouldn't have created this problem anyway). I'll check again, but this is the only time this happened.

So, just tried lowering my wall to 2.5m, none of the areas are shown in red, so it's still unknown how they escaped.

Sometimes, they just glitch. I had a hippo swim under the wall in a habitat that had existed for 15+ in game years without any issue and that did not show any escape points on the heatmap.
