Exhibits On Raised Paths

I just downloaded the game a few days ago and I've been watching a lot of Youtube videos but none address my question. Is there a way to put a small exhibit on a raised path? I have a path overlooking an exhibit and I wanted to add a small exhibit on that platform but it won't let me.

I'm not sure if it will let you .. similar to habitats it may have to be on the ground itself.

However, if it is like the facility buildings place it in a similar way. Hold it as close as you can to the path and then click X to manouvre it around. It doesn't go on the path itself but would ( if allowed ) be placed next to it like the shops are.

You can raise exhibits off the ground in the same way as everything else. Shift key + mouse up or mouse down.

I once had a building, where the exhibits were on the 2nd floor, no problem at all. You can have them floating, but then add the path after

Related question - can you do this with shops too? Because one of my zoos has raised paths in a lot of it, and I'd like to get some shops along those paths. sorry if this takes the thread off topic. (and I guess I could try that myself.)

Edit never mind, I just went ahead and tried it myself, you can put them along raised paths. I know I tried to put them ON the path at one point, I don't know why I never tried putting them beside the path before.

Thanks everyone for your responses! I was able to get it to be the same level but I wasn't able to put it in the middle of a platform on like a square overlook.

YESSS That's exactly what I want to do. I couldn't seem to figure it out. I think it has to do with the grid though which I kind of figured out! Finally beat the Maple Leaf Park in the careers today after starting over 4 times!
